A good expertise of external growth To become the leading financial Group in Africa, while reinforcing leadership at the national level, BGFIBank Group has been seeking to develop expertise outside Gabon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and more recently France. On this account, projects have been launched to set up new subsidiaries in ECOCAS (CEEAC), EMUWAS ‘UEMOA) and the Indian Ocean. This ambitious and well-controlled strategy revolves around the following group’s favourite principles:
Provide the customers with services and products at the international level Products and service provision at the international is one of the major development areas of the Group. It includes organic growth in BGFIBank Group host countries and external growth in currently target geographical areas. Our goal: ensure the group’s sustainability by supporting most investors and businessmen while boosting economy in general and both customers’ and shareholders’ profits in particular. Bank interconnection between BGFIBank subsidiaries Electronic banking interconnection has been effective within the Group from early 2009. Thus a BGFI bank card carrier can carry out transactions with his/her bank card in Gabon, Congo or in Equatorial Guinea. This system has been constantly reinforced by Cash Dispensers (CD) and Electronic Payment Terminals (EPT) for « Cash Advance ». Bank interconnection in EMCOCAS (CEMAC) countries In May 2009, BGFIBank Group has developed its electronic banking system as it became member of SMAC bank interconnection (Electronic banking of Central Africa). BGFIBank customers can then use automatic teller machines (ATM) in all banks involved in the draft reform process in CEMAC member countries. Developing electronic banking at the international level is reinforced by issuing and accepting international credit cards. |
